Description

This is a fun and engaging escape game that is perfect for the month of October and during the Halloween season! Provided in both a printable and digital format, you are sure to have a version that works best for your students. The digital version is played on Google Slides and Google Sheets. Breakout and escape rooms are the perfect way to have your students work together to solve puzzles and clues. Use this game in person or virtually.

Your class is trapped in a haunted house! Can they solve all the puzzles and escape before the monsters find them? Students must find all the ingredients to a special witch’s brew that will help them escape. As students complete each puzzle, they are to color the coordinating ingredient they find. This is a fun game where students work together and review key math standards.

Students will review multiplying multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm. They will multiply up to 4 digits by 1 digit, 3 digits by 2 digits, and 2 digits by 2 digits.

When the witch’s brew ingredients are all found, they will be just about finished with the game. The last thing students will do is find the cauldron, and then they can escape the haunted house. The cauldron will be hidden in the classroom. (The cauldron is a printout if playing the printable version, or a digital cauldron if playing the digital version.)

Escape rooms are a great way to get students working together, solving problems, practicing skills, and having fun. This Halloween breakout game leads students through different puzzles to help them review key standards from the Common Core.
